Fish constantly interact with their ever-changing environments, and not rarely are exposed to extreme physiological and environmental conditions. This session will focus on the abilities fish have developed to face such extreme conditions in addition to man-made environmental changes. Papers concerning physiology of imperiled fish, deep-sea fish, ion regulation in ion poor water, surviving low temperature, low oxygen, life in acidic and alkaline water, starvation, anemia and global warming are invited to this session
