Disease Resistance and Immune Responses

This session will focus on the current status of vaccine technology and our understanding of the mechanisms of disease resistance in fish. The advent of DNA vaccines and the possibility of stimulating immune responses across the gill and gut will be highlighted. Genetic approaches to type for disease resistance and the latest advances in fish immunology will be reviewed. Papers concerning any aspect of fish disease resistance are invited.
